Historic Voorstraat Voorschoten
Voorstraat in Voorschoten is part of an old transport connection between The Hague via Voorburg to Leiden. An old beach ridge lies here. The annual horse market dates back to a market right granted by Count Floris V.
For history and atmosphere, come to the Voorstraat with its cosy cafés and restaurants, set among monumental buildings and surrounded by centuries-old Dutch lime trees. There are several restaurants located next to each other, for instance, as well as several within walking distance. The choice is wide because whether you want to enjoy French, Italian, Greek or Spanish cuisine, Voorschoten has it all.
If you are in the city centre, there are many shops, boutiques, cafés and restaurants. There is also the weekly market every Friday in the Voorstraat. Here you can buy fresh produce, meals, clothes or enjoy a cup of coffee or tea.
You can also park your car for free everywhere in the city centre.
