Climbing at Het Klimeiland in Vlietland: are you up for the challenge? A real challenge for beginners and advanced climbers alike.
Looking for an active and adventurous outing near Voorschoten? Then visit Het Klimeiland in the Vlietland recreation area! Here you can climb exciting routes at different heights — fun for young and old alike.
4 heights, 6 routes, and 1 spectacular zip line
Choose your own climbing adventure at 1, 4, 7, or even 11 meters high. The climbing course has no fewer than 50 challenging obstacles and 10 cable cars. The spectacular finale? A cable car over 100 meters long!
After each route, you will return safely to the ground or to the climbing tower, where you can take a break or continue directly to the next course.
For children aged 5 and up
Even the youngest can join in!
For children aged 5 and up who are less than 1.40 meters tall, there is a special climbing course at a height of 1 meter. Close to the ground, but just as exciting. Children aged 6 and up can climb independently (with instructions and a helmet), while 5-year-olds can only climb under the 1-on-1 supervision of an adult.
Tip: perfect for children's parties or a sporty family outing!
Safe climbing with the Expoglider system
Safety comes first. Thanks to the continuous safety system (Expoglider), climbers are always secured from start to finish. The cable cars are also designed so that only one participant can use the zip line at a time. A minimum height of 1.40 meters is required for the entire course.

- April to October: Wednesday afternoon, Saturday & Sunday
- June to September: also open on Friday afternoon
- During school holidays and public holidays: open daily
