The Voorschoten Fire Department Museum
The Voorschoten Fire Department Museum was started by the 'Spuit 41' foundation. Here you can see items and stories related to the Voorschoten fire department. With pictures, stories, suits and exhibits we show how the fire department worked in the past.
The museum is located in Voorschoten's old fire station. The entrance is on the Zwaluwweg. A nice mix of past and present!
The Fire Museum is open every 2nd Saturday of the month from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Here you can see fire department history from 1883 to the present. The oldest items we have are old fire pumps and helmets. In addition, you can admire Spuit 41, a motor spray trailer from the former Silver Factory, many photos and stories, a culvert, certificates and pins, and cups from firefighting competitions. There is a lot to discover, something you should definitely come and experience with your children
Prices
A visit to the fire museum and “Spuit 41” are free. Because it is all volunteer work, there is a “donation extinguisher” in the museum
