Castle and estate Duivenvoorde

Duivenvoorde Castle is open every Thursday to Sunday. The castle is available all year round for weddings, dinners and receptions. The park is open all year round from 8 a.m. to sunset (7:30 p.m. at the latest). Check the site for the latest info.

You can visit us in 4 ways.

Visit the house yourself with the brand new audio tour. The history of eight hundred years of family home is told in a very special way by members of the different families who have lived in the castle over the centuries. Arent van Wassenaer van Catwijck tells about the 5 centuries of occupation by the family van Wassenaer and Jan Steengracht van Oostcapelle takes you through the stories of 2 generations of Steengracht. Ludolphine and Alexander Schimmelpenninck van der Oye tell intimately about their family memories during the tour. Museum open Thursday to Sunday 12-4 p.m. Buy a ticket in advance in our webshop.

Visit the beautiful park yourself. Park open every day from 8am to 7:30pm.

Guided tour of the park Every Friday and Saturday there is a historical garden tour at 1.30 pm. Hear all about the creation of the beautiful park, the special carriages and unique stories about the use of the estate by the residents of Duivenvoorde. You can buy tickets for the historical garden tour in advance in our webshop.

Adopt a tree!

You can adopt your own tree on the Duivenvoorde estate. A beautiful old oak on the Voorlaan, a young or new beech or lime tree in the park with beautiful views, avenues and winding paths or a fruit tree in the orchard of the Leidse Tuin. See more here.
