Holland Baroque met 'Travel Tunes'

With tireless efforts, Holland Baroque enriches the musical canon. Time and again, musical leaders Judith and Tineke Steenbrink succeed in adding a new experience to the baroque. Travel Tunes is about the never-ending journeys of people, from the far North to the warm South and from the West to the East. Stranded migrants dream about their homeland and seek solace in music. Dances and songs mingle with local traditions. Wondrous instruments meet in never-before-sounding combinations. You will hear new arrangements and traditionals with unknown and forgotten instruments. Programme including works by Monteverdi, Purcell, Corelli and others.
