When Prince Siegfried goes hunting, he stumbles upon a swarm of swans by chance. When one of the swans transforms into a beautiful woman, Odette, he becomes enraptured. But she is trapped in a curse, allowing her to assume her human form only at night. Von Rothbart, who has enchanted Odette, traps the prince into declaring his love for the identical Odile, breaking his promise to Odette. With Odette doomed to remain a swan forever, there is only one way she can break the sorcerer's curse.
